It’s okay to be nervous about psychotherapy or to have no clue what to talk about during one of your psychotherapy sessions. However, our psychotherapist at Aches Away Toronto wants you to make the most out of your experience.

So we wrote down some tips for you:

– Be okay to talk about things that feel embarrassing, weird, or too personal. We won’t judge!

– Come prepared to share any progress you have experienced outside of psychotherapy. We love to see your growth!

– Work collaboratively with your psychotherapist and be willing to explore new behaviors both within and outside the psychotherapy sessions.

– Be open and honest with your psychotherapist about how you feel during each psychotherapy session, particularly if you don’t think it’s not working for you.

– Ask as many questions as you like. If you don’t understand something your psychotherapist is talking about, or you feel unsure about a particular approach, ask questions.

At Aches Away Toronto, our psychotherapist works as best as possible to help you feel comfortable during your treatment. We want the best for you and we hope this was helpful!
